-At present, COVID-19 is spreading around the world, what is the situation of your company's resumption of work and production? Would you like to share about the current situation of the company?

目前新冠疫情在国内得以控制,您公司复工复产情况如何?是否可以介绍一下公司目前的情况?

While the situation is dynamic, and differs at each of our global locations, we did maintain our Customer Support and Service functions throughout the pandemic without interruption.  While we do continue to see impact on our sales/production levels, we have seen an increase in activity across all locations within the last few months.  We do maintain strict safety protocols to protect our employees at work.
虽然疫情充满不确定性,并且在全球各地的疫情情况各不相同,但是我们在疫情期间仍然维持客户支持服务,并且从未间断。虽然我们的销售/生产继续受到影响,但在过去几个月内,我们发现所有地区的活动都有所增加。工作中,我们一直有严格的安全防护规程来保护我们的员工。

-How has the cold forming equipment market changed since the company was founded to the present?

Our company was founded in 1874, so the scope of this question in our case is too much to address here.  Within the last decade, we can say that we see our industry starting to embrace automation and standardization much more, as opposed to reliance on manual adjustments based on experience and “feeling”.  In this sense, we feel the market is coming towards us, in that the fundamental design concept built into our Formax machines (PumaFX, LeanFX, FXPlus) incorporated standardization and automation from its introduction.

-As we know, National Machinery LLC has built up a wholly-owned production subsidiary in China. Please share about market layout and planning in China and outside of China, and what are their characteristics?
我们知道,苏州爱恩机械有限公司是美国国民公司在中国的全资生产型子公司。请谈一下贵司业务在国内和国外市场的布局,分别有哪些特点?

We opened the facility in 2006 to serve the China market in support of the machines already in that region and to build a specific new efficient machine line that met the unique needs of the market there.  To our surprise, we discovered significant demand for that product also outside of China.  About half of new machines we produce in China are shipped to various countries around the world.  
That said, we remain fully committed to serving the market in China, and we are optimistic about the growth opportunities we see there as more companies look to upgrade their capability and standardize their processes.  We have developed nice capabilities in China to cover the full range of support that our customers need – from tooling/applications to service and operator training.  We will continue to be there to support Chinese customers in their own language.
我们在2006年开设了中国工厂,以服务中国市场,支持该地区已有的机器,并建立一条特殊的新型高效机器生产线,以满足当地市场的独特需求。令我们惊讶的是,我们发现中国以外地区对该产品的需求量也很大。我们在中国生产的新机器大约有一半是运往世界各地的。

-How fast is your company’s product update? What are the main products promoted by company at present?
目前您公司的产品更新换代的速度如何?目前公司主推的产品有哪些?

Design change only for changes sake is not something we embrace, rather our design development is driven by specific customer applications.  When our customers share both applications and feedback on what is needed to support more precise and reliable forming, this becomes the driver for our machine design innovation.  Recent updates to our FORMAX product line include Punch Clamp Monitoring, and Industry 4.0 packages. 
We also consider our Customer Support and Service to be an important part of our product offering.  By engaging directly with customers to solve the problems they face, we become smarter as we help them improve as well.  This thinking is part of National’s “DNA” and therefore will never go away.
仅仅为了改变而进行的设计变更并不是我们所接受的,相反,我们的设计开发是由特定的客户应用程序驱动的。当我们的客户分享关于支持更精确和可靠成形所需的应用和反馈时,这将成为我们机器设计创新的驱动力。我们的FORMAX产品线最近的更新包括冲模锁紧监控和工业4.0包。

-In an increasingly competitive market, what kind of competitive landscapes are facing with peers?

Competition is nothing new, so our goal is to always offer the best machine and service to our customers and specifically to offer that service locally, such as our facility in Suzhou, China.  We take pride in having the best local support throughout the world and particularly in China.
竞争并不是什么新鲜事,所以我们的目标是始终为我们的客户提供最好的机器和服务,特别是本地的服务,例如我们在中国苏州的工厂。我们为拥有世界上最好的当地支持而自豪,特别是在中国。

-How do you think of the current fastener equipment industry and future development? In your opinion, what are the technological gaps between China and European and American countries? 
您怎么看待目前的紧固件设备行业以及将来的发展?您认为国内技术方面跟国外还有哪些差距?

The entire world is so closely tied together today with automation trends and various technologies, so in general there is minimal gap between geographic areas.  Mainly we see that certain areas push for faster integration of certain technologies, with a good example being the stronger push for electric vehicles in both China and Europe. 
随着自动化趋势和各种技术的发展,整个世界都紧密地联系在一起,所以一般来说,地理区域之间的差距很小。我们主要看到某些领域在推动某些技术的更快融合,一个很好的例子就是中国和欧洲对电动汽车的大力推动。
