Thailand Expands Semiconductor Investment as Advanced Manufacturing Supply Chains Gain Momentum
Thailand is stepping up its efforts to strengthen its semiconductor and advanced electronics industries.
On September 24, Thailand announced a new national semiconductor strategy, aiming to attract around US$80 billion in investment by 2050 and create more than 230,000 jobs. The strategy is designed to develop a more comprehensive semiconductor ecosystem and strengthen Thailand’s role in global supply chains.
Thailand’s electronics sector has also continued to attract investment. According to the Thailand Board of Investment (BOI), investment applications reached US$43.6 billion in the first half of 2026, with digital and electronics-related projects accounting for a significant share.
As semiconductor, electronics and related equipment manufacturing expand, demand for precision machinery, industrial equipment, components and fastening solutions is also expected to remain an important part of the manufacturing supply chain.
For suppliers looking to enter Thailand and the wider ASEAN market, understanding local manufacturing demand and building direct connections with buyers is becoming increasingly important.
The Thailand Fasteners & Hardware Tools Exhibition 2026 will take place on 3–4 December 2026 at IMPACT Exhibition Center, Bangkok – Hall 8. The exhibition will bring together suppliers of fasteners, hardware and electromechanical products, providing manufacturers, purchasers and distributors from Thailand and the wider ASEAN region with opportunities for face-to-face business connections and sourcing.
